With a stellar reputation backed by satisfied customers like Jean-Charles Mathey, who raves about the homemade ravioli with brocciu and the delectable chestnut and vanilla ice cream, you can expect nothing less than a remarkable dining experience. The dishes here are crafted with love and attention, showcasing the rich flavors of the region.
Visitors often highlight the ravioli as a must-try dish. This culinary masterpiece is made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, providing a satisfying taste of authenticity. Not only do the dishes shine in flavor, but the charming outdoor seating allows you to soak in the beautiful surroundings, making your meal even more enjoyable.
For those who are a bit hungrier, the bruschetta serves as a delightful starter, described by Bogusz Madej as resembling a small pizza, perfect for sharing among hungry hikers. And don’t forget to explore the vegetarian options; as Céline Marie Vidal notes, they can easily be adapted to vegan dietary needs, ensuring everyone can indulge in the flavors.
The consistent praise for Cafe U Centru extends beyond food to include the staff, who are frequently described as “extremely friendly” and “kind.” This warmth adds to the cozy vibe, allowing diners to feel right at home while enjoying their meals.
In conclusion, whether you are seeking a hearty meal after a day of adventure or simply wishing to experience authentic Corsican flavors, Cafe U Centru promises to deliver. “ Vaut le détour sans hésitation. Cuisine locale authentique. Production maison : raviolis au brocciu, coupe de glace à la châtaigne et vanille délicieuse, fondant et son coulis de fraise à la menthe. Nous avons été servis avec beaucoup d’attention et de gentillesse. ”
“ Nice vibe, outdoor seatings, and perfect stop during a hike around the area. Recommend the ravioli ”
“ Amazing service. Very tasty vegetarian option on the menu which can easily be turned into vegan. Best meal after days of trekking in the mountains. A pleasure ”
“ Extremely friendly staff and amazing food. The perfect pit stop after trekking for a few hours. The ravioli was to die for. Highly recommend this cafe!! ”
“ Don't be misled by the name, apart from the cafe it's also a regular restaurant. We had dinner there and everything was perfect. We took a bruschetta as a starter (one to share is way enough for two hungry hikers, as it looks more like a small pizza/focaccia) and home made ravioli with brocciu and a burger. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Also the staff was attentive and very kind. I strongly recommend this place. The only small issue is that bruschetta and raviolis were the only two vegetarian options. ”
